If you’re buying gifts this holiday season, you likely already have a closet brimming with gifts that are ready to be given. But check out this list to make sure you haven’t bought any gifts that have been recently recalled due to mold colonization. Gifts are great, but only if they aren’t making your loved ones sick.
GoGo SqueeZ Applesauce Pouches were recalled on October 15th due to a mold infection. The company realized the problem and immediately issued a recall. Following that, they conducted a test and found that the mold in the product was indeed harmless. However, a quote from the company’s CEO states: “However, we know mold is gross and unpleasant to look at or taste, and this is simply not the kind of experience we want you to have. As a consequence, we took every step to fully understand and fix the problem.”
You need to return GoGo SqueeZ Applesauce Pouches if:
The “Best Before:” date is between June 30th, 2016 and July 26th, 2016.
This cat food was made by HALO and was found to have a mold colonization problem. It was posted on October 26th, and can be returned at the retailer you purchased it at for a full refund. This is a big one, and an extremely common Christmas present. But unfortunately, these headphones were found to be infected with mold. If you’ve gotten these Ear Force XO Xbox headsets for a loved one this holiday season, it’s essential that you exchange any infected pairs of headphones for clean ones. The recall was posted fairly recently, on October 21st. If you have one of these infected products, go to www.turtlebeach.com and they will show you how to set up a free replacement.
You need to return Ear Force Gaming Headsets if:
The headset does not have a green dot under the windscreen of the microphone, and the serial number is between C-16 and C-25.
These yummy dog treats aren’t so yummy anymore. This product recall due to mold was posted just a few days ago on December 16th. Any infected bags of treats can be returned at your local PetSmart for a full refund. The recall was voluntary by the company, because they think the treats are “possibly” infected with mold.
You need to return Nutro Apple Chewy Treats if:
The underside of the package contains the code “4 50,” “5 02,” “5 03,” or “5 05.”
